Las Acacias Ministry

In the midst of the devastation left by the earthquake, Catia La Mar became a place where need and hope meet. The church came into this community to accompany, serve, and lift up those who have been struck by loss.

Following the recent earthquakes that struck La Guaira, the Confraternity of Pastors gathered to reflect on the impact of the events and the role of the church during this time of crisis. In this interview, the pastors share how faith became a source of strength, how the community mobilized to serve, and how hope continues to guide every action taken in response to the emergency.

In moments of uncertainty, pain, and national hardship, the church has a unique opportunity: to bring hope where many see only darkness. This workshop was created to equip every believer with practical and biblical tools to share the message of Christ during times of crisis, learning to listen, accompany, and communicate the faith with sensitivity, compassion, and courage. Through teachings, group dynamics, and real testimonies, we explored how to respond spiritually to the needs of others, how to present the gospel in a relevant way, and how to become carriers of peace in situations of distress. Even when everything is shaken, God’s love remains firm—and we are called to be guiding light, comforting words, and helping hands.

A humanitarian team from Las Acacias Church carried out a significant donation to the Carlos Eduardo Chalbaud School, providing essential hygiene supplies and medical items to support students and families affected during the current contingency. A total of 153 hygiene kits were delivered across different age groups: 70 hygiene kits for women, each containing sanitary pads, shampoo sachets, hand gel, deodorant (in some kits), and toilet paper (in some kits). 33 hygiene kits for men, including deodorant, shampoo, hand gel, and—depending on availability—razors and bath soap. 50 baby kits, equipped with diapers, wet wipes, and alcohol. Additionally, the school received various medicines to help address immediate health needs within the community. This donation strengthens local support efforts and ensures that families in La Guaira receive practical, timely assistance during this emergency response phase.

Las Acacias Church conducted an important interview with local pastors and members of the La Guaira Pastors’ Fellowship, gathering firsthand testimonies on the current situation of the churches and the community following the recent emergency.

Las Acacias Church continued its humanitarian mission in La Guaira, providing direct support to families and local teams affected by the recent emergency. Volunteers worked on-site delivering supplies, offering assistance, and standing alongside the community during a critical moment of recovery.

The “Bokitas” program from Las Acacias Church was present in Nuevo Circo, providing direct support to some of the most vulnerable children in the area. The team offered care, companionship, and essential assistance to families facing difficult conditions during the current emergency. This outreach effort reflects the church’s ongoing commitment to serving communities in need and ensuring that children receive attention, dignity, and hope in moments of crisis.
